Divorce is always uncomfortable. But for Camille Grammer, things got even more awkward when the reality star met her soon-to-be ex-husband’s new fiancée.
Camille, 42, opened up to Andy Cohen on Thursday night's Watch What Happens about meeting Kelsey Grammer’s new bride-to-be for the first time.
Kelsey texted The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star to let her know that when she dropped off the couple’s children -- Jude, 5, and Mason, 8 -- his fiancée Kayte Walsh would be at the house. "My girlfriend Diedre, who you saw on the show, says, 'We have to go down and meet her,'" Camille laughed. The two raced to Kelsey’s house, and Camille finally met the woman her husband left her for after 13 years of marriage.
"It was interesting to say the last," she said. "She was nice, and we both said hello...It was uncomfortable. Kelsey looked shocked. The look on his face!"
In an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman Thursday night, Kelsey shared his feelings for his new love. "Kayte’s my new girl, and we’re planning to get married soon," he told the talk show host. How soon? "Sometime in February," Grammer said. "The kids are doing okay."
Kelsey put in a request to the judge for a quickie divorce, wishing to get married to Walsh as soon as possible and work out the financial details later. But Camille, who never signed a prenup with the Frasier star, is asking the judge to reject Kelsey’s attempt to speed things along. The former Playboy model wants her legal team to take their time ensuring she’ll be awarded her $50 million share of the couple’s assets. A judge will decide on the matter later this month.
