Bieber Fever swept New York's Times Square on Wednesday evening as Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never" had its New York premiere. Plenty of Beliebers waited in hopes of getting a peek at the teen heartthrob, but a few of his friends came out to show their support as well, including former "Run's House Star" Diggy Simmons.

One of hip-hop's brightest up-and-comers, Diggy (and his younger brother Russy) hit the red carpet, where he said he wasn't exactly sure he had the fever. "I guess so," Diggy told MTV News. "This has been my boy for a while, so I'm just here supporting him."

The rising MC also revealed that he and Bieber plan to work together, but he still wasn't sure what the collaboration would sound like. "A mix of both of us, maybe a song about a girl, a life experience, you never know."

A collabo isn't surprising considering the two have a lot in common. Both have burgeoning careers ahead of them, Bieber has his Beliebers and Simmons has "Team Diggy." They're also both being guided by phenomenal mentors: Bieber is famously mentored by Usher, while Diggy has come up under the tutelage of his father Rev. Run of the legendary Run-DMC and his uncle Russell Simmons, in addition to Pharrell Williams.

While Diggy hasn't enjoyed the same success as Justin just yet, he has released two mixtapes, First Flight and Airborne, that have been well-received by fans. And he also told us he's started working on his debut album, though he was coy about specifics apart from the fact that producer Boi-1da would be involved.

"I'm working on my freshman album, my debut album. I just started that two weeks ago. And I'm working on another mixtape that I'm going to put out this spring."
