It turns out Tiger Woods is a good sport -- on and off the golf course! In his Wednesday night appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the athlete laughed good-naturedly as the funnyman made light of Woods' infamous cheating scandals from last year.
"I want to say thank you for having the courage to come on a late night comedy program," Fallon quipped. "Cause it must have been a painful and awful situation the whole thing that you went through. But from a comedian’s standpoint, and my monologue writers', thank you so much. That was some of the greatest comedy ever!"
"We must have heard every golf joke in the history -- but that is like a magical thing to happen, your awful pain," Fallon contined, as Woods, 35, laughed. "And we laughed at your pain, and … not even making jokes, it kind of wrote itself. Balls, shaft, holes, foursomes! I mean (the comedy) really writes itself."
Ouch! Woods looked pretty uncomfortable, but did his best to play along. "You got it," he said.

The athlete also appeared on Good Morning America Thursday, giving a slightly more serious interview. Woods (who has two children -- Sam, 3, and Charlie, 2 -- with ex-wife Elin Nordegren) opened up about his new life and what it's like to be a single dad. "It’s work, there’s no doubt," he said. "It’s tough. But it’s enjoyable. That’s the work I love."
"I just love being with them and seeing what they’re doing, what they’re capable of doing -- the joys, just the shifts of interest," he says. "It’s just fun. We have a great time together… Family’s first. That’s the way it was when I was growing up. My mom and dad were always there… and that’s what I have with my kids now."
The golfer's TV appearances this week mark his first return to the talk arena since his extremely public scandal. Maybe Woods -- and the media -- are finally ready to move on.
